About the Job
FileString is looking for an exceptional User Interface Designer to create an amazing user experience for the FileString service. The ideal candidate will have an eye for clean and visually appealing design, a masterful understanding of user-centered design process and methodology, and an ability to translate user stories and use cases into interaction flows and artifacts and transform them into beautiful, intuitive and functional user interfaces.
In this position, you will be complete the following tasks:
Collaborate with product management, engineering and other UX/I designers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience.
Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering for FileString’s web, Mac desktop, Windows desktop, and iOS and Android tablet and smartphone applications.
Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.
Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback.
Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
About You
You’d be a great fit at FileString if you meet the following qualifications and criteria:
UI/X Design Guru: You have experience of User Experience and Interface Design principals, Human Factors, User Centered Design Processes, Interaction Design guidelines, Usability Methodologies, industry standards and trends, and platform standards and design guidelines.
Visual Creativity and Style: Some designers have it and others don’t. You do. You are able to create clean and beautiful, as well as functional and intuitive, designs.
Software Mastery: You are an expert user of the tools of the UI/X design trade including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Balsamiq Mockups, OmniGraffle, and Icon Slate (or other icon creation application).
Diligence: You are diligent, pay attention to details and follow through in your work.
Innovation: You love to brainstorm ideas and are a natural problem solver.
Communication: You are bilingual (preferably fluent) in English and Vietnamese, have excellent interpersonal skills, are sensitive to subtle nuances, and are persuasive.
Work Ethic: You work hard and smart and understand the difference between productivity and activity.
Experience: You have 1-2 years of UI/X design experience and have the portfolio to show it.
