1. Overview
Datatyk is looking for BI developers who will use the latest technologies to deliver end-to- end solutions for our clients that address their business needs and challenges. You will engage in a range of analytical projects, from complex data modelling to designing ETL solutions to extract, clean, conform, and deliver data to the warehouse[/h]
2 What will you be doing?
2.1 Project Management
- Working within a team of 2-6 people to deliver solutions for clients using an Agiledevelopment methodology
- Data modelling for custom solutions
2.2 Design & development - Data warehouses and ETL solutions
- Designing and plan BI solutions
- Debugging, monitoring and troubleshooting BI solutions
- Creating and deploying reports - Create BI Dashboards in Tableau or Qlik or Power BI
- Writing relational and multidimensional database queries
- Configuring, deploying and maintaining database servers
3 Technologies Usage - A wide range of technologies including Microsoft Previews
4 Job Requirement
4.1 Knowledge - Bachelors degree (or above) in computer science, mathematics or related subject
- Proven knowledge of Business Intelligence / Data warehouse theory (Kimball methodology strongly preferred)
4.2 Experience - Extensive experience in the Microsoft BI Tool-stack on Data Warehousing projects
- Evidence of delivering business intelligence/data warehouse solutions
- A strong Database knowledge/experience, including maintenance, optimization,trouble-shooting
- You must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision as well as being a strong team player
4.3 Skills - Client-facing skills, strong analytical thinking, and attention to detail
- Technical skills including:
o Dimensional Modelling (Kimball)
o Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017 Database engine
o Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017 Integration Services
o Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017 Analysis Services
o Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017 Reporting Services
o Microsoft Power BI
o Experience in using Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView will be useful
o Experience in using other database platforms, including Oracle, MySQL will be useful
o Experience in using other BI applications, including Cognos, Business Obj, will be useful
o Knowledge of C#.NET, ASP.NET, or other traditional coding is a advantage
