Software QC Intern

Job Overview

We are seeking a Software QC Intern to support the testing and quality assurance of IoT System, and management software platforms.

This role is ideal for final-year students who want hands-on experience working with real hardware devices, embedded systems, and software applications in a production environment.

You will work closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and product teams to ensure system reliability, accuracy, and stability.


Responsibilities

  • Perform manual testing for:
    • IoT management software (Web / Mobile)
    • IoT devices and embedded systems
  • Test end-to-end workflows involving hardware + software integration (e.g. device status, lock/unlock, user interaction)
  • Verify system behavior based on functional specifications and use cases
  • Identify, document, and track software and system issues (UI, logic, device communication)
  • Validate bug fixes and conduct regression testing
  • Assist in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Support testing related to:
    • Device connectivity
    • System stability
    • User interaction scenarios
  • Work closely with development teams to reproduce issues and clarify requirements

Requirements

  • Final-year student majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or related fields
  • Basic understanding of software testing concepts and QA processes
  • Interest in IoT systems, smart devices, or hardware–software integration
  • Ability to write clear and structured bug reports
  • Logical thinking, attention to detail, and a responsible working attitude
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate in a technical team environment

Nice to have (not mandatory):

  • Basic knowledge of API testing, SQL, or system logs
  • Familiarity with IoT concepts (device communication, sensors, controllers)
  • Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Redmine, or similar
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum workflows
