Junior System Admin Job Description
Responsibilities
❏ Linux server installation, support and administration.
❏ Manage virtual machines running in private and public clouds
❏ Install software, apply patches, manage file systems
❏ Monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts from monitoring tools
❏ Collaborate with internal teams for problem solving, tuning system
General
❏ Bachelor’s degree in IT or any relevant fields
❏ At least 1 year of experience as a Systems Administrator in Linux/Unix environment.
Requirements
❏ Passion for technology is a must
❏ Self-study and self-learning on new technology and improve on technical skills
❏ Good problem solving, analytical and evaluative skills
❏ Independence and proactivity
❏ Understanding of typical load balancing approaches and configuration, firewall operation
❏ Experience with web server (Apache, Nginx), configuration, optimization, security and other
technologies
❏ Experience writing bash scripts
❏ Experience with version control (svn, git) is a plus
❏ Experience with LDAP is a plus
❏ Experience in cloud computing environment (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud,...) is a plus
❏ Experience in private virtual system (Xenserver) is a plus
❏ Fluent in English
❏ Good customer relation skills, team building, ability to work independently, articulate in written and
verbal forms
